A land where ancient civilizations have left indelible marks etched into its rock formations, a timeless testimony to its rich heritage.

The Design Toolkit project was conceived to give voice to this extraordinary region, a place imbued with history, culture, and mystery. By crafting a Design Toolkit, the project aims to unveil the many dimensions of the land, interpreting its districts through a visual language inspired by the ancient Dadanitic inscriptions native to the area.

The branding aspires to capture the profound essence of the place, honoring its ancient soul while projecting its story into the future.

In these heritage zones, the lack of buildings & infrastructure has led the signage and wayfinding to be designed around the existing sandstones using natural materials to create wayfinding manifestations that blend seamlessly into the landscape.

The graphic language was inspired by the scripts of ancient languages which is engraved into the stones within the landscape, whilst adhering to strict heritage regulations.
