Our design took inspiration from the striking architectural design, forming a sinuous number 8 - the symbol for prosperity and good luck in large parts of Asia. Based on that we developed 3 original design options one of which was chosen for further development by the client. Incorporating work environments designed to nurture connectivity, creativity and entrepreneurship, the new headquarters also includes the group’s herbal medicine research facilities and safety assesstment labs as well as a learning centre for conferences and exhibitions.
Our scope included external, internal, car park, surrounding landscape and back-of house spaces.
We developed a formal product design language to be as sculptural as the interior design of the building itself – creating a seamless visitor and employee experience.
