FURNITURE/PRODUCT DESIGNER
Spaceagency is seeking a Furniture/Product Designer to join its studio in London, UK.
We are seeking a talented and creative Furniture/Product Designer with a strong portfolio of high-quality completed designs. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a deep understanding of materials and manufacturing processes, and the ability to create innovative and practical designs. Experience in BIM is a plus.
Spaceagency is a design agency based in London and working globally. Our expertise lies in how people experience spaces. We design people’s journeys through urban, cultural, sporting, event, retail and hospitality spaces. Our international client portfolio includes cities, global brands and collaborations with renowned architectural practices. Upcoming projects include public realm wayfinding, urban experience and exhibition design in the Middle East, Asia and the UK.
Responsibilities of the Furniture/Product Designer will include:
Design and develop innovative furniture and product concepts from initial ideation to final production.
Create detailed technical drawings, 3D models, and renderings for presentation and manufacturing.
Collaborate with engineers, manufacturers, and clients to ensure feasibility and quality of designs.
Conduct research on materials, trends, and production techniques to enhance design outcomes.
Utilize BIM software (if applicable) to improve design workflow and integration.
Present and communicate design concepts effectively to stakeholders.
Ensure projects are completed on time and meet company standards and client expectations.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, Furniture Design, or a related field.
Proven experience in furniture/product design with a strong portfolio showcasing completed projects.
Solid knowledge of AutoCAD, Rhino and related rendering engines essential. Knowledge of 3DStudio Max, Keyshot, Twinmotion are a plus.
Knowledge of BIM software (e.g., Revit) is a plus.
Adobe Creative Suite
Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and ergonomics.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a creative mindset.
This is a full-time position based in London. Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK.
